Montecucco Sangiovese red DOCG 2018
Montecucco Sangiovese red DOCG 2018
Grapes: Exclusively Sangiovese, a traditional and renowned grape variety.
Vinification: The winemaking process takes place in steel, where a constant temperature between 25° and 28°C is maintained. During the two weeks of maceration of the skins, pumping over and délestages are carried out to best extract the desired components. The malolactic fermentation also takes place in steel, guaranteeing the purity of the wine.
Aging: After the winemaking phase, the wine is aged in steel for 14 months, then matures for 12 months in French oak Tonneaux, giving complexity and structure, and finally rests in the bottle for at least 4 months before being marketed.
Color: It has an intense ruby red color that suggests the richness and concentration of the wine.
Nose: The bouquet is inviting and intense, with predominant notes of ripe red fruit such as currant, raspberry and pomegranate. There are also nuances of berries, balsamic hints and sweet spices which add complexity and depth to the aromatic profile.
Pairings: This Sangiovese pairs beautifully with roasted and braised red meat dishes, offering a perfect balance between its structure and intense flavours. It is also ideal with game-based dishes and mature cheeses, where its aromatic complexity can be best appreciated.
Serving temperature: We recommend tasting the wine at a temperature of 18°C to fully appreciate its aromas and structure.
Alcoholic strength: The wine has an alcohol content of 14.5%, confirming its robustness and fullness in the mouth.
