Lithos Nero d'Avola DOC Sicily

During the 18th century, European travellers, and in particular the English, who ventured into Sicily, were enchanted by an island that presented itself to them as a still unexplored pearl. Here, the dazzling light of the sun blended with the green and blue tones of the sea, while the colors of the earth created a striking contrast with the naturally beautiful sky.

The ancient Greek and Roman remains, evidence of civilizations now lost over time, exercised an irresistible fascination on these travellers, telling stories of distant eras.

The undisputed protagonist of this land was stone, LITHOS, always present in Sicily together with water, earth and fire. The color of LITHOS was painted as an intense ruby ​​red with purple reflections.

Its perfume was a kaleidoscope of pleasant sensations, with notes of plum jam and berries that intertwined with extraordinary spicy hints, evoking above all pepper and vanilla.

When savored, LITHOS revealed its rounded, powerful and enveloping personality on the palate. Despite being decidedly tannic, it was never aggressive, standing out for a final aromatic persistence of extraordinary elegance.
